Computer Presentations--My Ticket To The Big Time
In our fast-paced society computers are becoming the major focus in all professions. No mater what an
individual majors in at college they can rest assure that computers will influence their life in the future. I am hoping to grasp a
better understanding of computers which will help me in my occupations to come.
Most people have forced themselves to become familiar with computers. High schools have made word
processing classes mandatory and most students leave with a basic computer education. This knowledge enables a person in
writing papers, organizing information, and searching for stuff on the Internet.
It seems like every time I turn around there is a new computer on the market that is smaller, faster, and better
than the one before. This just goes to show how much our society is affected by the industry of technology. Take Y2K for
example - Every culture who operates with computers will be affected. Of course we have had plenty of time to research this
bug so everything should be all right.
I am in this class to grasp a knowledge that will help me out in whatever job market I decide to go in to.
As of now I am able to perform basic functions, such as typing and answering e-mail. At the end of this semester I hope I will
have learned how to use the computer to help me out in bigger and better ways. After all, the computer is only as smart as
the operator.
